Pokémon Gold/Silver
Like Pokémon Red and Blue, Gold and Silver Game Paks each contain different Pokémon. You'll have to trade Pokémon with your friends to Catch 'em All. Since Pokémon Gold and Silver are fully compatible with Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, you'll be able to transfer your favorite Pokémon to your new game. Pokémon Gold and Silver are guaranteed to amaze you with a wide range of ground-breaking features. A built-in clock will keep track of whether you're playing the game at night or during the day, so you'll have to stay up late to catch nocturnal Pokémon. Gold and Silver also introduces new Pokémon classifications like Dark-type and Steel-type, which can really change your battle strategy. For the first time, you'll be able to find out if your Pokémon is a boy or a girl. If you introduce two Pokémon of opposite genders, you could end up with a Pokémon egg! By hatching the egg, you can create pre-evolved Pokémon that have never been seen before. When you begin your new quest to become a Master Trainer, you'll be provided with cool PokéGear. A cellular phone allows you to receive calls from other characters in the game, and you can use a radio to pick up broadcasts from nearby towns. To catch the new Pokémon in Gold and Silver, you'll have to purchase a variety of new Poké Balls from local stores. Check out our Pokémon Gold/Siver Walkthrough.
