Fan Fiction: The Flareon’s Journey

Submitted by Mega Mewtwo

Chapter 1: The Great Escape

Kacie, come back! I promise, I won’t feed you a rubber steak again!!” Gary yelled. But it was too late. Kacie the Flareon was far outta sight before Gary could find her again. “It’ll be a long time before I reach decent grounds again.” she said, still boiling like a pot on a stove. The sun was setting, and all sorts of Pokemon lurked after dark. She curled up in a cave, wished for the best, and went to sleep. The next morning, she woke up and continued her quest. She headed into some deep, dark, woods not knowing what to expect...

Chapter 2: The Prehistoric Woods

Noises. Noises everywhere. It sounded as if something were following her, something with an evil heart, and a mind of its own. Something was. She looked back, but her swishing tail blocked her view. She didn’t wanna even find out what it was. She already knew. She immediately started running as Flareon sometimes do. She dashed over logs, and she dodged many rocks. Under a tree, and round’ a big stump. She was running downhill. Running fast. She tried to put on the breaks, but she couldn’t. A huge, dead redwood stump blocked her path. She stopped. The Jolteon was heading closer, closer still, until it was too close. She knew she was a Flare-kabob now. Suddenly, a Mewtwo closed in on the Jolteon. It kicked the Jolteon right in the butt, knocking it into the future after the future.

Chapter 3: S.S. Mewtwo

“You okay, Flareon?” the Mewtwo asked. “Yeah, fine.... you, you dark warrior, who are you, and more importantly, WHAT are you???” Kacie asked. “I’m a Mewtwo. My name? Jewel.” the Mewtwo replied. “I’m Kacie the Flareon. How do I get the heck outta this midevil forest??” She asked. “Follow me.” the Mewtwo replied crawling into a dark crawlspace. They were out of the forest, but still lost. “We hafta cross the river!” Jewel signalled to Kacie. “Observe: Flareon, a fire-type Pokemon. Sensitive to WATER. What IS in that ditch, anyway? That’s right kids! WATER!!” Kacie told the impatient Mewtwo. “Elementary, my dear Watson. In english, I’ll swim you across Kacie. Man, your type shouldn't be fire, it should Be chicken! BRAAACC!!” Jewel joked.

Chapter 4: The Groog Jungle

They were in a jungle-like area now. Nobody remembered how they got there, but They didn’t care. They had to put their pasts behind them. The only way down was... well, down!! Or, down a waterfall. “Jewel, look to your left!” Kacie pointed. there were leaves the size of one whole Snorlax! “Let’s go!” Kacie said. “Uhhh, ladies first???” Jewel nervously replied. “Who’s the chicken NOW?!” Kacie giggled, pointing. “That wasn’t very funny, Kacie!” Jewel said, crabbily. Kacie looked at her and gasped. “Yeah, that’s right. I am scary. Raaar!!!” Jewel growled. Kacie finally managed to spit out the words: “THERE’S A GROOG BEHIND YOU!!!!!!”

Chapter 5: Slip Slidin’ Away

Jewel looked back. She grabbed the small Flareon, hopped on the leaf and glided down the waterfall. Jewel started turning green. “You okay....?” Kacie asked. Jewel barfed into the wind. It flew behind her and hit the groog in the face. “Uhh, nice aim??” Kacie said, turning green herself. The leaf landed, and Kacie threw up too. “Yikk, Kacie! Go ahead and throw yer cookies, but don’t do it on me!!” Jewel said, wiping yellow nasty grimy stuff off herself. “Sorry! Hey, let’s go in this cave...” Kacie pointed out. “Alrighty, then.” Jewel said in reilef.

Chapter 6: Hunting Is Tough

They reached a golden field of wheat at the cave’s exit. It was so hot, they thought their toes were going to shrivel up on the hot, hot ground. The sun looked more like a big, boiling fireball floating in the sky. A man was tiptoeing around in the grass. They walked up to watch him do his hunting. “He looked at them and said “Be vewy, vewy qwiet! I’m hunting wabbits!!” They walked away. “Man, that was weird. I thought Elmer Fudd was a cartoon.” Kacie whispered so that crazy man wouldn’t hear.

Chapter 7: Unfriendly People

Big farm at 12 o’ clock!” Jewel signalled. “Uhh huh. Maybe they’ll spare some milk and cookies!” Kacie joked. “This is serious, Kacie!! Quiet!!” Jewel whispered. They walked past the barn. A man heard them and Came out with a machine gun bigger than he was. “Git yer sorry keisters outta here!” he yelled, shooting the gun. “Henry! How many times do I hafta tell yew, don’t kill off the tourists!” A fat lady in her undies said, hitting him on the head with a rolling pin. They didn’t wait around for something else to happen. They turned and walked away.

Chapter 8: The Cinnibar Coves

The sun was setting again. They had to find landing ground, and soon! They camped out in an old shack by the beach. The next morning, they got ready for the rest of the journey. The Blazing Flareon and the shadowy Mewtwo continued on. They climbed the rocky mountain until their feet flopped. They knew they couldn’t give up, not now, not ever. They got to the top of the twisted mountain. They looked back at where they had been, down at a lonesome beach. The sight of this made their tummys twist and turn and cringe. But still, they continued the journey of journeys. The ledge they were on was covered with stones, black ones at that. They decided to take a rest under a bush and go on.

Chapter 10: It Started With a Fire

It was blazing hot. The stones on the ground were burning their feet. For no reason, no reason at all, Kacie’s eyes started to tear. Then they stared to sting. There was smoke surrounding them. A fire had started on the same bush they were under. The fire rose more and more, hotter and hotter. It seemed to follow the two Pokemon, like a baby duck following the mother duck. Kacie could barely see. Jewel was not leaving her best friend to be Cinnibar toast for some forest fire. She grabbed the poor Flareon up and stuck her in a leafless tree. Jewel climbed up with Kacie and waited for the fire to evaporate. It continued to burn. It burned down a field of grass. Finally, it hit a lake and disappeared.

Chapter 11: The Eye Of The Pyramid

They journeyed on until the were too tired to move. They were in another woodland, except a different one. There was a huge pyramid in the woods, so they thought it would be safe to rest inside. There was an eye painted above the entrance. They didn’t notice, but as they entered, the eye seemed to turn red, like a monster eye. There were some torches lit inside. There was a huge sarcophagus laying on the ground. They were curious. What was inside this tomb, anyway?? “On the count of three... one, two, three!!” Kacie gulped. They lifted the lid off. There was a mummy laying in there. Jewel gulped. Immediately, the mummy heard, and woke up from his one-mellenium sleep. He sat up and started to choke Kacie. Kacie got out of his grip and slapped him “That’s no way to treat a lady!!” Kacie growled at him. They ran out of the pyramid. The door was closing. Jewel escaped, but Kacie was still at the entrance. If she didn’t hurry, Kacie would be stuck in there for another mellenium, and a mummy to keep her company! (Soon, Kacie would be a mummy herself!) Jewel stretched her tail out and grabbed Kacie. Kacie was safely pulled out. They both ran as fast as they could, away from there.

Chapter 12: Life In The City

It’s hot!!” Jewel said. “Tell me something I DON’T know!!” Kacie grumpily replied. They saw something in the distance. It was a house. It was far away, but it was a house. They were now on a street, and cars whizzed by like a merry-go-round. There was a tall skyscraper towering over them. There was a sign next to it that said “GeoLogix Offices.” They decided to explore the building (or, they thought it was a huge totem pole.) They went in. All these people were walking around. Voices echoed around the room. A big door opened for them, automatically. They went inside. It was a small room with three or four people in it. The doors closed. The two Pokemon started to rise. “Are we going to heaven?” Kacie asked in a sad voice. “I don't wanna die!” “No, Kacie. I think this room is an elephant-vator. It’s a person thing.” The room stopped moving. People got out. The room started moving down. “I don’t think we’re going to heaven after all. I think we’re going to the other place.” Kacie groaned. They were back on the first floor, yet again.

Chapter 13: The Meeting Room

They entered a small room with many chairs and people in it. They were all discussing things at a long table. Kacie crawled under the table. So did Jewel. They were surrounded by feet, all sorts of feet. Blotches of chewed gum were stuck under the table. Kacie didn’t look where she was going, and tripped on someone’s foot. “Hey!!” the man yelled. “You’re fired for yelling out!!” the fat boss said. “Are you blind Kacie?? Look out next time!!” Jewel angrily whispered. “Sorry!!” Kacie whispered back. While Kacie dodged the boss’ stomping feet, Jewel sat down to rest. Her long tail nudged a man’s leg. “So you all have to be on teams.” the boss said to the people. “Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!” the tickled man laughed. “Laughing at the boss’ idea! YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!” “But—” “Butts are for ashtrays! Get outta my office!!!” the poor man walked out mumbling nasty words to himself (maybe he saw a little tornado above his head...) Kacie the Flareon and Jewel the Mewtwo walked out of the building in fear of being stepped on.

Chapter 14: A Brand New Start

They walked to a big house with a long lawn. They settled down on the grass to rest. A boy walked out onto the lawn. “Pokemon!!” he exclaimed. He picked them up and took them inside his little shindig. “Nice shrine!” Kacie thought. He set them down on the floor. They stared around. Everything was huge. “Mom! Pokemon! Can I keep em??” He said. “Well, Ash, Pokemon are a lot of responsibility..... but..... oh, go ahead!” the mom said. “Yess!!” the boy and the two Pokemon yelled. Ash took Kacie and Jewel in his room. He played Super NES with his two new Pokemon. But when he started to tease them with a rubber steak, it was the same old story!!
